Photography
I photograph people in the context of their real lives—at home, outdoors, and during meaningful gatherings and events. My work is documentary-forward, with light guidance when needed and an emphasis on capturing natural moments and interaction.
This includes:
- Day in the life and at-home sessions
- Family and friends
- Events and gatherings
- Senior portraits
- Individual portraits
Sessions are relaxed and minimally structured, allowing images to unfold without performance or pressure.
All photography sessions include:
- Planning support around timing, location and flow
- On-location photography
- A curated gallery of high-resolution, fully edited images
- Personal print and sharing rights
Short-form sessions (families, friends, senior portraits, individual portraits) of 60–90 minutes begin at $950. Day in the life and extended coverage sessions (starting at three hours) begin at $1,950. Event coverage is quoted individually based on timing, scope and the nature of the event.
Most work takes place in and around Portland, Oregon. Travel is available.
Photo Books & Family Archives
In addition to photography I design custom photo books that transform your existing images (or images we create together) into finished, enduring objects. These projects are ideal for individuals and families who would like their photographs edited, sequenced, and printed into high-quality, hard-bound photo books to be held, shared and treasured.
Photo book projects may include (but are not limited to):
- A “year in the life” of an individual or family
- An annual vacation, a favorite vacation or a compilation of vacations
- A favorite family holiday, multiple holidays, or multiple years featuring a single holiday
- A curated collection from personal or archival photographs
The process is simple:
- You share your images with me via a Dropbox link and instructions I will send you (or we create the images together)
- I edit, sequence and design the book
- You review the draft book online prior to printing
- Print and delivery
Photo book projects begin at $150 for a standard landscape (10×8) hardcover, up to 75 pages (typically around 50-70 photos), client proofing, plus the cost of printing. Extended book design pricing begins at $300 for a standard landscape (10×8), hardcover, up to 150 pages, client proofing, plus the cost of printing. All books are produced as hardcover volumes on premium paper, selected for longevity and print quality. Printing and shipping are billed at lab cost upon client approval.
